Scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have found an incredible link between spring tides an association football. According to the leading author of this paper, Dr. Bernard Baldy-Church: "Tides are known to be influences by the gravitational effect of the moon since Galileo. However, spring tides are rather more intense than common tides, and the origin of such intensity is still being investigated. In our work we found a strong correlation between the intensity of spring tides and the celebration of soccer matches, which was something totally unexpected". Dr. Baldy-Church claims "A detailed analysis of the data showed amazing patters. For example, the correlation was the highest for matches played by Real Madrid, a team in central Spain. However, that effect vanished around 2018, and shifted to matches played by Juventus, a team located in the north of Italy. We are still analyzing this shift". According to the author, their results point out to a large moving anomaly of the gravitational field.
